Non-Thai Children May Access Free Education1

July 2005

On 5 July 2005, the Cabinet approved a draft directive by the Education Ministry aimed at providing free education to the children of non-Thai citizens.

The Cabinet agreed to make education available for all children in Thailand, including children of people without nationality and household registration. The Cabinet also assigned the ministry to provide schooling for children of refugees.
