US State Department Releases 2006 Human Rights Report

The US State of Department has released the 2006 Human Rights Report. The state of human rights is reported for 193 countries, covering a range of issues such as:

  • Respect for Human Rights
  • Respect for Civil Liberties
  • Societal Abuses and Discrimination
  • Governmental Attitude Regarding International and Nongovernmental Investigation of Alleged Violations of Human Rights
  • Discrimination, Societal Abuses, and Trafficking in Persons
  • Worker Rights

There is separate section for Trafficking in Persons for every country.
