Cambodia Support Center Established for Women Victims of Sex Abuse and Trafficking1

National Women Union collaborated with Can Tho City Women's Union and AFESIP (Acting for Women in Distressing Circumstances), a French NGO, to establish a centre which is located at the Can Tho Women Union to support sexually abused and trafficked women.
This project aims to building a communication network to support the process of reintegration for women and children who are victims of sexual abuse and trafficking, in the cooperation with provincial Women Union in the Mekong Delta. The centre will provide accommodation, counseling and psychological treatment, health care, vocational training, and job searching assistance to help victims find opportunities to improve their lives and reintegrate into community.
