Domestic Violence Law

On 19 September 2005, the Royal Cambodian Government adopted the law on Domestic Violence.

Cambodia-Vietnam Bilateral Cooperation Agreement Signed

On 12 October 2005, the Agreement between Cambodia and the Government of Vietnam on Bilateral Cooperation for Eliminating Trafficking in Women and Children and Assisting Victims of Trafficking was signed in Hanoi by the Cambodian Minister of Women's Affairs and the Vietnamese Minister for Public Security.

Status of the Draft Law on the Suppression of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation

The Government is in the process of finalizing the draft law on Suppression of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation. Discussions between technical institutions continue.

Status of the United Nations (UN) Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, especially Women and Children, Supplementing the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime

On 25 November 2005, the Cambodian National Assembly agreed to ratify the UN Trafficking Protocol.
