Pilot Project by Legal Support for Children and Women¹

Legal Support for Children and Women (LSCW) in Cambodia has recently announced the commencement of a new pilot project supported by UNIAP to assist Cambodian migrant workers in the Klong Yai District, Trad province, Thailand. The project base is in Koh Kong with frequent visits to the Klong Yai district, which borders Koh Kong. The aim of the project is to support Cambodian migrants with a particular focus on women and children and those in crisis. The project includes establishing a mobile team and volunteer support network, a needs analysis and regularly updated information on the situation of Cambodian migrant workers as well as services to assist those in crisis in cooperation with agencies in Cambodia and Thailand.

LSCW has appealed to all key actors who work in combating human trafficking in Koh Kong to work together to harmonize assistance to migrants, to link networks and to enhance cooperation.
