Se, Sin Kim and Ashley Barran From Regional Conference on "Illegal Labour Movements: The Case of Trafficking in Women and Children, November 1997."
The paper examines the phenomenon of trafficking of women and girls for sexual exploitation to provide an overview of the current situation in Cambodia. As the process of "trafficking" and the resulting exploitative relationships are closely connected in the law and in practice, both of these aspects of the issue are examined. As well as the dominant patterns of trafficking in the country, the primary focus in this paper is on the trafficking of women and girls within Cambodia itself.
