Polaris Project US Policy Alert and new US Policy Snapshot Map.

The Policy Alert contains information on current and pending state human trafficking laws, and pending federal laws.  Some of the key state statistics are pulled out at the beginning of the Policy Alert; below you will find more detailed information on the status of pending state bills.  Beneath the state activity is information on recent activity in the U.S. Congress – note that a bill to reauthorize the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPRA of 2007) has already been introduced.
 
There has been a lot of activity – 17 pending state bills with more on their way.
