Activities

In 2001, a Research Assistant Professor, Robyn Emerton, conducted and published a study on trafficking in persons in Hong Kong entitled "Trafficking of Women into Hong Kong for the Purpose of Prostitution: Preliminary Research Findings" which continues to be the most comprehensive document on trafficking in Hong Kong.  The paper was the first academic study on the topic of trafficking into Hong Kong, and has generated much public debate on the issue, both in Hong Kong and regionally.

See above Web site for a comprehensive explanation of Robyn Emerton’s research on trafficking in Hong Kong, as well as links to research papers.
