Goutte D'eau published an extract in June 2006 on 'Good Practice[s] Specific to the Rehabilitation of Substance Abusing Street Children' that was funded by UNICEF.  The publication found that "extreme poverty has led Poipet, Cambodia to evolve into a hotbed of social ills at all imaginable levels: trafficking in persons, the commercial and sexual exploitation of children and adults, substance abuse, domestic violence, rampant HIV-AIDS, land-grabbing and encroaching, smuggling, and corruption at all levels are part of everyday life in Poipet."
