Monitors general operations of local and international NGOs and IGOs directly involved with human trafficking issues and assesses fiscal needs of these organizations for UN funding.
Sitting on the Cambodian National Committee Against Trafficking in Women and Children in the Mekong Sub-Region are a number of ministries, NGOs, United Nations programs including UNICEF, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), ILO International Program on the Elimination of Child Labor (IPEC), the United Nations Inter-Agency Project on Trafficking, and International Organization for Migration.
The Committee evaluates the progress performed by the project and discusses the best steps for preventing trafficking and protecting of victims of trafficking.
In 2003, the United Nations Economic and Social Council submitted a report on Human Rights recommendations for Cambodia: Advisory Services and Technical Cooperation in the Field of Human Rights.
