Activities

The Solidarity Center, in cooperation with the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP) and other local NGO partners, supports a counter-trafficking awareness program that includes a project website and development of a trafficking database. This information helps the Solidarity Center train trade union and NGO leaders to advocate for anti-trafficking legislation as well as enforcement mechanisms to promote regular migration.

In addition, a community-based group of union and other activists trained workers to stop trafficking before it happens. The Solidarity center also works with local partners to help trafficking victims by assisting with legal issues, supporting victim crisis centers, and facilitating victim re-integration through economic empowerment programs.
