Mosaic Family Services operates the Services for Victims of Trafficking Program that provides culturally and linguistically competent services to victims experiencing abuse, so that they may quickly recover from a criminal act. The agency operates a comprehensive case management program to attend to clients' needs in a holistic manner. Coordination with law enforcement agencies, both local and national, is an essential part of the protocol.
Survivors' basic needs such as food, shelter, and clothing are met. Then futher issues are addressed: health care, mental health care, legal representation, English as a Second Language, and ultimately employment. The agency's goal is to assist in the clients' ultimate goal of economic self-sufficiency.
Mosaic also works to educate immigrants and mainstream communities about issues relating to trafficking and immigrant needs. Mosaic has hosted two National conferences on Trafficking in persons. The agency has grants to provide services to survivors of trafficking from the Office for Victims of Crime in the Department of Justice and from the Office of Refugee Resettlement in the Department of Health and Human Services.
