Activities

The ministry was founded in 1998 by a group of parishioners from the Franciscan Chapel Center and St. Alban's Church, as well as concerned individuals. It aims to educate the public about the illegal trade of children for sexual purposes, to support efforts to end the trade in children, and to raise funds for organisations working with children through sponsored events and donations.

Currently, the Street Children Program supports street children foundations in the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Mongolia. In 2001, the Program coordinated a series of fundraising events to support organisations working to stop the sexual exploitation of children.

The Street Children Program also continued its activities in raising awareness about the plight of street children and providing information to the public through its website.
