Activities

To enable women with neither visa nor money to receive medical treatment, CHARM has developed a network of health institutions in the Kansai region (Osaka-Kyoto-Kobe).

Mission

To help migrants receive medical and social services by providing telephone and personal consultations, by referring patients to reliable medical doctors and other medical institutions, by providing translators, and by negotiating possible social services.
To provide information about existing services, such as lawyers, labour unions, Japanese classes, counselors, etc.
To assure migrants obtain and understand information about illnesses, treatments and the social welfare system in Japan.

CHARM services are FREE of charge for migrants. CHARM also welcomes contributions, any amount a person can give will help others who cannot.

CHARM provides a FREE and ANONYMOUS Anti-body test for HIV, Clamhidya and Syphlus every Saturday. Written information and interpretation in English is available upon your request at the testing site. Result of the test will be given from medical professional in a private room. Consultation for infection prevention is also supplied for people who request it. When: every Saturday 2:00-5:00pm.
