Asia-Japan Women's Research Centre (AJWRC) facilitates discussions and actions for women in Asia through envisioning an alternative future society based on gender justice, ecology and local & global democracy where poverty, oppression and discrimination are eliminated.
Empowerment Seminars
AJWRC also organizes seminars and workshops regularly on various issues with feminist perspectives such as: violence against women, nationalism, economic issues, women’s movements in other parts of the world, feminist English, use of ICT, etc.
Women's Study Groups
AJWRC organizes study tours of women visiting women’s groups in other Asian countries to learn their issues and activities and to share information and experiences.
Campaigns, Advocacy and Research
AJWRC monitors cases and policies that may violate women’s rights, runs ad-hoc and long-term campaigns, and conducts feminist research and surveys for advocacy purposes. They also actively participate in international feminist debates and campaigns.
Training and Workshops
AJWRC provides lectures and trainings for youths, teachers, local governments and other groups that are interested in gender sensitive trainings and workshops.
