Activities

ECPAT is a network of organisations and individuals working together to eliminate the commercial sexual exploitation of children. It seeks to encourage the world community to ensure that children everywhere enjoy their fundamental rights free from all forms of commercial sexual exploitation.

ECPAT STOP Japan lobbies for legislation against child pornography and against penalizing children who use the internet to access online dating sites. It has run international workshops on children and mobile phones. The group has produced online and print guides to protecting children on the internet are used by police and parent-teacher groups. ECPAT STOP Japan works closely with industry, government and law enforcement to combat internet child pornography and is a member of Japan’s Internet Hotline Expert Network.
