Bandungwangi is a non-profit non-government organization (NGO) that started as an informal group in 1995. Bandungwangi staff are women who understand why women’s empowerment is really important. Bitter and hard experiences working in the entertainment world have become the focal point for the strength of Bandungwangi. Its staff also have undertaken various training, courses, study tours and workshops related to reproductive health, outreach, TOT, communication, gender and women's empowerment, etc.
Mission
To support the Indonesian Government in addressing reproductive health issues and in empowering women, especially those who work in the entertainment industry.
Bandungwangi has a broad network of experts. This includes public health specialists, anthropologists, sociologists, economists, social workers, psychologists, doctors, midwives, and humanitarian activists. Bandungwangi also has a good working relationship with organizations such as NGOs, hospitals, clinics, or organizations working for human rights.
