Activities

JARAK is a network of national NGOs promoting the elimination of the worst forms of child labor in Indonesia. JARAK supervises and assists with the implementation of member activities and coordinates regional efforts.

JARAK specifically aims to effectively operate as a strategy-focused organization, consisting of equally capable and knowledgeable members. Activities for the enhancement of member capacities include trainings, comparative study and exchange programs, the development of information access and distribution and fund raising for pilot and micro programs. In addition, JARAK consults the Indonesian government, international organizations, local communities and member, as well as non-member NGO's and provides advocacy for law enforcement and changing policy and public opinion on child labour.

The activities of JARAK include:

  • the enhancement of member's capacity through trainings
  • comparative study and exchange programs among members
  • the development of information access and distribution
  • fund raising for pilot and micro programs
  • advocacy for law enforcement
  • changing policy and public opinion on child labour
  • assisting all parties involved in efforts to eliminate child labour in Indonesia (e.g. government, communities and member/non-member NGO's)

JARAK's Online Forum

The JARAK forum is a valuable resource to connect and interact with the rest of the JARAK community and other people involved in the fight against child labour in Indonesia. The core benefit of the JARAK network is the ability to share knowledge, experience and skills.
