Activities

The regional office for South-East Asia is located in Jakarta, Indonesia and covers four countries: Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Cambodia. Within Indonesia, certain specific geographical areas are prioritized, such as:

  • Jakarta, Java (west, central and east), Yogyakarta, South Sumatera, NTT, NTB and West Kalimantan.

The vision of TdH-Netherlands (TdH-NL) is for all children (persons under 18 years of age) to be free from violence and exploitation; to be protected; to be educated; to be cared for; to have their rights assured and to live in circumstances in which they can enjoy their childhood; to have the UN convention on CRC and the ILO convention No 138 & 182 on child labor promoted, respected, and fully-implemented.

TdH-NL has defined the following objectives:

  • To promote primary health care, HIV/AIDS awareness & reproductive health rights
  • To combat extreme forms of child labor
  • To prevent child prostitution/ sexual abuse and provide services to victims
  • To prevent trafficking in children and women and to provide services to victims
  • To increase possibilities for "differently-abled" children to fully participated in society
  • To promote justice for children in conflict with the law
    To give special support/ services to children of ethnic minorities, children living in conflict area and to child refugee.

The programs of TdH include:

  • Drop-out youth
  • Children who labor
  • Children who prostitute
  • Women and children victims of trafficking
  • Differently-abled children
  • Children in conflict with the law
  • Children in special circumstances such as those who live in conflict areas, and those who are coming from ethnic minorities.
