Hong Kong Basic Law

The Basic Law is essentially a Constitutional Document for Hong Kong under the concept of 'One Country, Two Systems' that gives Hong Kong a large degree of autonomy within China. The Basic Law was adopted 1990 and came into effect July 1, 1997 when Hong Kong came under Chinese Sovereignty.
