In association with the V *Day 2006 College Campaign, NUS TSSOC is proud to present, a benefit production of Eve Ensler's
"THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES"
to be performed at the UCC Dance Studio
ON 3rd, 4th & 5th March , 2006

What are "The Vagina Monologues"?

Hailed by The New York Times as "funny" and "poignant" and by the Daily News as "intelligent" and "courageous," "The Vagina Monologues," which was first performed off-Broadway by Ms. Ensler, dives into the mystery, humor, pain, power, wisdom, outrage and excitement buried in women's experiences. Ms. Ensler has performed the play to great acclaim throughout the world - from Zagreb to Santa Barbara , from London to Seattle, from Jerusalem to Oklahoma City. Villard Books/Random House first published "The Vagina Monologues," which includes a foreword by Gloria Steinem, in February 1998. A special V*Day edition of the play was released in February 2001. Watch the play performed by talented Singaporean actresses.

"The Vagina Monologues" will be performed at the NUS University Cultural Centre, on the 3rd, 4th and 5th March at 8pm . Tickets are priced at $8 and may be purchased (or reserved) by calling Cindy at 9 366 3693 or e-mailing nustheatre@gmail.com.

V-Day NUS 2006 is made possible by the generous support of the NUS Centre for the Arts and is awaiting approval to be a Young Changemakers' Project by the National Youth Council.

Proceeds from this community event will be distributed as follows: 55% to AWARE, 35% to UNIFEM Singapore and 10% to the V-Day spotlight campaign on Comfort Women.

In this special Women's Forum, in celebration of International Women's Day, Horacio Falcão, INSEAD Professor of Decision Sciences will discuss with the participants some of the causes that are seen as obstacles for similar success across genders and investigate some potential solutions that can empower and catalyze changes towards higher success for women in salaries and leadership.
