Event Details

Aidetous (Association Internationale pour le Developpement, le Tourisme, la Sante) held two conferences at the French Cultural Center, one in French and the same in English, on the themes: trafficking, prostitution, and AIDS. The purpose of the conference was to communicate, inform, sensitize, and mobilize in order to combat commercial sexual exploitation of humans, particularly children.

The work of Nicolas Lainez was also featured. Mr. Lainez is a photographer featuring human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and HIV-AIDS who has worked in Asia for the past 4 years.

French NGO AIDeTouS coordinated four surveys in brothel districts, STD clinics and care facilities over the last three years. The results were first released at a conference on trafficking, prostitution and AIDs at the Foreign Correspondents Club in Phnom Penh on 28 June 2004.

The survey results are available for download below.
