Event Details
Aidetous (Association Internationale pour le Developpement, le Tourisme, la Sante) will hold a follow up conference at the French Cultural Center and the Paul Dubrule Tourism School in Siem Reap on the themes of trafficking, prostitution, and AIDS. The purpose of the conference is to communicate, inform, sensitize, and mobilize in order to combat commercial sexual exploitation of humans, particularly children. The work of Nicolas Lainez will also be featured. Mr. Lainez is a photographer featuring human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and HIV-AIDS who has worked in Asia for the past 4 years.
French NGO AIDeTouS coordinated four surveys in brothel districts, STD clinics and care facilities over the last three years. The results were first released at a conference on trafficking, prostitution and AIDs at the Foreign Correspondents Club in Phnom Penh on 28 June 2004.
