The key goals of the conference were:

  • To sensitize local communities to trafficking, and understand their role in prevention of trafficking
  • To obtain commitments from key actors to implement the various policies, and support the programs necessary to realize progressive reductions in human trafficking and exploitation

Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Mr. Samdech Hun Sen, gave the opening remarks.
