Australia: Training on Prostitution & Trafficking Issues

Project Respect addresses violence against women in the sex industry, and is Australia’s leading counter-trafficking NGO.

On August 6 in Melbourne, Project Respect will be holding a one-day training for those who have experience working with women who have encountered violence.

The training will cover:

  • Trafficking and prostitution – the policy landscape;
  • How trafficking works, and its impact on women;
  • Trafficking indicators (recognizing victims);
  • Women’s support and information needs;
  • International good practice and international obligations
