On 10 March 2005, the Kennedy School at Harvard University hosted a panel on human trafficking. The panelists included:

  • Swanee Hunt, director of the Women and Public Policy Program, who served as moderator of the panel.
  • Ambassador John Miller, director of the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons at the U.S. Department of State.
  • Donna Hughes, chair of the Women Studies Program at the University of Rhode Island
  • Jane Holl Lute, assistant secretary-general for peacekeeping operations at the United Nations.
