The ECPAT International Secretariat held a meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, on 12–13 June 2005 of international experts on violence against children in cyberspace, virtual settings and through new technologies. ECPAT International is coordinating information on this topic for the UN Study on Violence against Children. The experts will advise on the various forms of violence against children in these virtual settings, including sexual abuse and exploitation, bullying and psychological manipulation. Some of the expert advisors will also participate in the workshop on Violence in Cyberspace at the East Asia Pacific Regional Consultation on the UN Study on Violence against Children, 14–16 June, 2005 in Bangkok.
