CONSIDER
There are approximately 200,000 trafficking victims in the United States at the present time and the numbers are growing at an alarming rate. One of the most important ways to help victims access resources, recover from trauma, and build a new life is by understanding the cultural context of the survivor’s life experiences.
JOIN
Eva Young and Laura Shipler Chico at this unique workshop to learn how to address the complex process of providing the resources survivors need to adjust into their new lives. Participants will gain increased knowledge and skills for working in diverse communities, enhanced awareness of the role of cultural competence in the identification of and service to victims, and greater understanding of the cultural barriers that victims and providers face.
