Ordinary citizens, not law enforcement, are often the first to encounter victims of trafficking, although they may not recognize them. Catholic Charities of Idaho (CCI) and Idaho Council of Catholic Woman (ICCW) are presenting workshops to educate the public and heighten awareness throughout Idaho on the warning signs of human trafficking and the need to protect human rights and dignity. A federal trainer from the Department of Justice in Washington D.C. will present these sessions along with local CCI, ICCW, Catholic Charities of Spokane staff and volunteers.
