Event Details

This Training Program is developed and organized by WARI-- a Thailand-based women’s organization. The aim of the program is to improve gender and human rights competency and the knowledge of international human rights standards related to equality and non-discrimination.  WARI hopes to enhance capacities for gender equality and promote cooperation in the field of gender, human rights and democracy throughout Southeast Asia.

The program is designed for representatives of NGO’s, government officials, students, academics, consultants, gender focal points and UN/donors agencies working on gender and equality issues. The program will take place at the Eastin hotel in Bangkok, Thailand from October 25 to 31, 2007, and will be followed by a 2-day conference-gender, rights and empowerment-- on November 1-2, 2007. We trust that the program will be of importance to you and hereby invite you to participate, nominate candidates from your organizations, or circulate this announcement.
