The IPEC – Mekong Sub-regional Project to Combat Trafficking in Children and Women (TICW) held a seminar on:
"Organizing Migrant Workers to Fight Slavery and Exploitation on U.S.A. Farms"
The speakers were:

Ana Isabel Vallejo, Supervising Attorney for LUCHA: A Women’s Legal Project at Florida Immigrant Advocacy Centre
The seminar focused on the work of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) in fighting slavery and exploitation through organizing, mobilizing and empowering migrant worker communities. They also play a key role in identifying trafficking cases and bringing them to court. The CIW is a community based workers’ organization comprised of Latino, Haitian, Mayan and Indian migrant workers in low-wage jobs from across Florida.
