The Chinese province of Yunnan, in cooperation with the International Labor Organization (ILO), has launched a new phase of a five-year project to combat the trafficking of children and women in the Mekong Sub-Region of Asia in July 2003.

Save the Children UK
Save the Children has supported research to understand the issues surrounding migration, trafficking and street children and is working to promote ‘safe migration’.

UNESCO Trafficking Project
UNESCO’s Trafficking Project in Bangkok is undertaking a number of projects on trafficking.


UN Inter-Agency Project on Human Trafficking in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (UNIAP)
The United Nations Inter-Agency Project on Human Trafficking in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (UNIAP) was established to facilitate a stronger and more co-ordinated response to human trafficking in the Greater Mekong Sub-region.
