Nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) around the globe are engaged in combating trafficking engaged in a variety activities including prevention, prosecution, protection, rescues/raids, reintegration, and repatriation. NGOs often work with few resources yet can be effective in complimenting the activities of governments, or even taking the place of government efforts.
